What does projector projection ratio mean

Projection ratio is the ratio of projection distance to picture width. In short, it is the ratio of the distance from the projector to the wall or curtain to the projected picture size. The smaller the projection ratio, the shorter the distance required to cast a picture of the same size, which can save a lot of space. The projection ratio also has a certain division. For ordinary projectors, the projection ratio is usually between 1.5-1.9; The projector projection ratio of short focus lens is less than 1; The projector projection ratio of ultra short focus lens is less than 0.6.

Calculation formula of projection ratio
The calculation formula is projection ratio = projection distance / picture width. It should be noted that we usually call the length of the projection picture as the width and the width as the height. Don't make a mistake when calculating.

The common projector projects a picture with a ratio of 16:9. If we want to project a 100 inch picture, we need a distance of about 2.66 meters based on the common 1.2:1 projection ratio of the current intelligent micro projector; When the projection ratio is 1.5, a distance of about 3.3 meters is required; When the projection ratio is 1, a distance of about 2.2 meters is required; When the projection ratio is 0.4, it only needs a distance of about 0.4 meters.
